1080° Snowboarding
thebradshaw/1080-Snowboarding-decomp
A native PC port of the Nintendo 64 version, made by static recompilation: the game’s code is recompiled to C and runs only alongside an unmodified ROM. It adds, all optional, widescreen, 60 and 120 frames per second, a longer draw distance, HD boards, and RetroAchievements. You unzip it, choose Load ROM, pick the ROM, and choose Start Game. The Linux build is new and, per the README, untested on real machines. Version 1.01 (October 28) fixes bugs and 1.0 came out on October 24; the project presents itself as the work of Vibe Slop Studios. 52 of its 54 commits list Claude as a co-author.
You needYour own unmodified 1080° Snowboarding (USA) ROM as a .z64 with MD5 fa27089c425dbab99f19245c5c997613. Plus 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 and a GPU with Vulkan or Direct3D 12; on Linux, a distribution about as new as Ubuntu 24.04 with Vulkan drivers, SDL2, and GTK 3.
1080° Snowboarding
djsaunde/1080-decomp
Decompilation of 1080° Snowboarding for N64, largely driven by Claude, which the project states openly. The build already produces a ROM identical to the original, and a verification step fails on any regression. It decompiles twenty segments, including USO overlays in a custom relocatable format (some Yay0-compressed).
