LEGO Dimensions

NeverCookFirst/DimensionsRecomp

Static recompilation of the Xbox 360 release and, as far as we know, the first recomp of a toys-to-life game. It boots, plays, saves, loads DLC, and talks to a Toy Pad (real or emulated) like any ordinary Windows program, with an unlocked frame rate, mods, and multilingual support. Its author is explicit about why: they wanted to find out whether a figures game could be recompiled, and they say emulation remains a perfectly valid option for anyone it works better for.

You needYour own copy of LEGO Dimensions for Xbox 360. This is a public demo build.

LEGO Dimensions (PS4)

vascon-es/lego-dimensions-pc

An unofficial native Windows x64 port of the PS4 version (CUSA01176 European or CUSA00935 US, version 01.24). It is not an emulator: the game executable runs directly on the PC’s processor, the PS4 system libraries were rewritten for Windows, the GCN graphics are translated to Vulkan, and the game’s shaders are translated before you play from your copy, in a 20 to 60 minute preparation step that also converts the eboot.bin. Audio, saves, the controller, and the portal work, whether the real Toy Pad over USB, the LegoToypad app (version 1.9 Web App Extended is included), or a virtual Toy Pad. It has a launcher with modes, settings, and update checks, and extracts the game, update, and DLC .pkg files. The repository contains nothing from the game, but it does carry listings of the game’s data archives (tools/data/dat_index, with paths, sizes, and offsets) and the 79 MB executable of LegoToypad, the third-party app that emulates the portal. Version 1.8.8 is from October 31. It states AI-assisted changes, and 45 of its 73 commits list Claude as a co-author.

You needYour own dump of LEGO Dimensions for PS4 (CUSA01176 or CUSA00935 folder, version 01.24, with eboot.bin, sce_sys, and data\chunk*), with the update merged in or in a separate -patch folder; optionally DLC, or the .pkg files to extract from the launcher. 64-bit Windows 10 (1803 or newer) or 11, a Vulkan 1.3 GPU (tested on a Radeon RX 6600), and 16 GB of RAM (the game uses about 5 GB).
