New Super Paper Bros.: a native Windows and Linux port by static recompilation with WiiCompiled, which translates the game’s PowerPC code to C++; the runtime reimplements the Wii’s libraries, and graphics go through Aurora, on Direct3D 12 or Vulkan. It goes up to 4K (borderless 1080p by default), with 16:9, a cinematic 2.39:1 mode, or the original 4:3, 120 fps frame interpolation, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo controllers and keyboard with remappable controls, and the Wii Remote pointer (Tippi, the HOME menu) on the right stick or the mouse. On-screen buttons follow your controller, it supports mods that replace files or textures, and the launcher installs the game from your disc image and imports saves from a Wii or Dolphin. Version 1.0.3 (October 18) added the Linux build and the European disc in five languages. All 19 of its commits list Claude as co-author. The download comes with two community mods built in: the game’s music at higher quality, from the “SPM High Definition Audio” mod (its authors took the tracks from the khinsider website), and a 4x HD texture pack converted from “SPM Textures v1.0”, which is always on.
