Dino Crisis Modern Edition
Game: Dino Crisis (PS1, 1999)
A fan mod of Dino Crisis that rebuilds the game from your own disc into a native Windows program, made to look and play like the Resident Evil remakes. The installer reads your disc image, recompiles the game’s code to C, and builds it on your PC together with the mod (a few minutes), with the compiler included; the repository and the installer contain nothing of the game. It adds an over-the-shoulder camera, modern controls and movement, shadows, ambient occlusion, and anti-aliasing, facial animation with lip sync, 16:9, 21:9, and 32:9 widescreen without stretching (or the original 4:3), resolution up to 4K, 30 to 1000 FPS, and gamepad or keyboard with remappable keys. It supports mods in a folder the game picks up while running, and the separate Dino Crisis ME Studio editor. Its known issues list integrated graphics and Windows 11 Smart App Control. Version 1.06 (October 28) is the latest release. All 8 of its commits list Claude as a co-author.
