Crusader: No Remorse

Game: Crusader: No Remorse (DOS, 1995)

A C++20 reimplementation with SDL2 of the Crusader: No Remorse (Origin, 1995) engine for Windows and Linux, which reads the original game’s data, including its scripts (USECODE). It supports the French version 1.08 and the US version 1.23, and the README describes it as a work in progress. It adds gamepad support, an enhancements menu (a camera that follows the player, directional movement and aiming, native resolution, zoom, autosave), and fullscreen with Alt+Enter. There are builds for Windows, Linux, and PortMaster handhelds (aarch64); 1.22.0 is from October 19, one of 31 releases. The author mentions his Claude subscription, and 2 of its 48 commits list Claude as a co-author.
