Port (decomp) Playable

D

Game: D (PS1, 1995)

A native Windows version of D, WARP and Acclaim’s PlayStation horror adventure (1995), with no emulator and no BIOS. It runs the game’s own logic, rebuilt from a decompilation that has not been published, together with the PlayStation’s libraries rewritten for Windows (graphics, sound chip, MDEC video, CD reading, and controllers); movies, pictures, and sound are read at run time from your own disc images. It adds 8-slot save states (the original has no way to save), pause at any moment, a double-time mode, internal resolution up to 4x, picture filters, and a launcher that changes discs by itself. The port’s own program source is in the repository, but it cannot be built on its own because the game’s decompilation is missing. Version 1.0.2 (October 27) makes the knight fight on disc 2 winnable, which was always lost in earlier versions. All 10 of its commits list Claude as a co-author.

You needYour own images of the three discs of D (USA, SLUS-00128 / 00173 / 00174) as .bin/.cue or .chd; an .iso does not work. Plus Windows 10 or later.
