Glider PRO (Aerofoil)
Game: Glider PRO (Classic Mac OS, 1994)
Aerofoil: a port of Glider PRO, John Calhoun’s classic paper airplane game for the Macintosh (1994), from the source code the author released under the GPL-2.0. It offers a 90s-style interface, gamepad support, high-quality upscaling with color correction, a full port of the level editor, import tools that unpack and convert most community content, and a new touchscreen interface for mobile devices. The game’s data (the application and the houses, meaning the levels, by Calhoun, Kim Money, Jonathan Chin, Ward Hartenstein, Shawn Brenneman, Steve Sullivan, and others) is published alongside the code, so the repository includes it (about 49 MB) and the downloads already bring it. The Windows releases go up to 1.1.2 (November 10, 2021); the macOS one is 1.1.0 (May 14, 2021). There’s also a browser (HTML5) version on itch.io. The Android version has been discontinued because of its maintenance demands, and its Google Play listing was retired in August 2025. The last commit is from September 6, 2026.
You needNo copy needed: the author published the game with its code and the data comes with the downloads. Plus Windows or macOS (or a browser, with the itch.io version).
