God of War: Sons of Sparta
Game: God of War: Sons of Sparta (PS5, 2026)
SonsOfSparta-PS5 Native: the PS5 game running on Windows through AnyPS5. The original x86-64 code runs directly on the CPU, with no CPU emulation, and the PS5 system libraries and GPU commands are reimplemented through a compatibility layer, the way Wine and DXVK work. According to the project it plays from the logo through gameplay, with music and sound effects, at about 60 fps in menus and gameplay on its test PC, and the launcher also offers 120 fps or an experimental unlocked frame rate. It renders the scene at 4K by default, or at 1440p or 1080p, windowed or in borderless fullscreen. It supports keyboard, mouse, with an aiming mode that acts as the right stick, and XInput, DualSense, or DualShock controllers, with Xbox or PlayStation button icons. It adds an F10 cheat menu, a frame counter, and options such as skipping the intro or dialogue, and lets you blow with a button in scenes that ask for the microphone. The first launch prepares the game from your files without modifying them, and the first session compiles shaders as you play, with visual glitches and stutter until they’re cached. The whole game hasn’t been tested, and later areas may have missing graphics, audio problems, or crashes; it has mostly been tested on NVIDIA cards. The latest release is 0.4.2 (October 16).
