Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec

Game: Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec (PS2, 2001)

An open-source reimplementation of the Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec engine for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and Meta Quest (VR), called GT3 Revisited. It contains no game data or assets: at run time it reads your .iso image and decodes the assets without extracting them to disk. The README says the whole game is playable: GT Mode with dealers, garage, tuning, licenses, championships, and endurance races with pit stops, Arcade (single race, time trial, 2-player split screen), replays with the TV cameras, movies, music and sound, with the physics checked against the original. It adds online battle for up to 6 players with session codes, and saves that can be imported from and exported to the PS2 original. Version 0.4.1 is from October 29. 18 of its 19 commits list Claude as a co-author.

You needYour own .iso image of Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec. The NTSC-U releases (SCUS-97102 and the PBPX-95503 bundle disc) are verified; other regions are untested. Only .iso images are read. Linux needs a Vulkan driver.
