Hot Shots Tennis
Game: Hot Shots Tennis (PS2, 2006)
A from-scratch rewrite of Hot Shots Tennis (Everybody’s Tennis in Europe, Minna no Tennis in Japan) in Rust with the Bevy engine, called OpenTennis. It aims for the same game, with the same ball physics, rules, timing, and AI, ported from the original and checked frame by frame against the real game, with better rendering on top. It reads the game’s data from your disc image at run time, and the repository has no models, textures, sounds, or program code from the game. There are builds for Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS and a web version where you pick your own ISO; it includes online play with rollback and mods for characters, courts, umpires, and textures, with a mod store. The README describes it as a work in progress. Version 1.5.4 is from October 29. 52 of its last 100 commits list Claude as a co-author.
You needYour own .iso image of the PS2 Hot Shots Tennis, US release, version 1.00, serial SCUS-97610. The game checks the disc (the SCUS_976.10 boot file and the size and header of ZZBIN/GAME.BIN) and refuses any other with “unsupported disc”.
