In Pursuit of Greed
Game: In Pursuit of Greed (DOS, 1996)
xGreed: a source port of In Pursuit of Greed, the first-person action game for DOS, written in Delphi for Windows (32-bit binaries). It renders in software at double the original resolution (640×400), with 320×200 as an option, and adds mouse look, WASD movement, a launcher, DirectDraw for blitting the image, BASS.DLL for audio, and PNG screenshots. The latest version, 1.1.12.55 (March 19, 2022; published on GitHub on April 24), stops strafing when both directions are pressed at once, makes the memory manager assume multithreaded execution to avoid memory corruption, and raises the engine’s sprite limit from 700 to 4096. The binaries and source are also on SourceForge. The repository includes no game data.
You needYour own copy of In Pursuit of Greed: from what the DOS installer produces, the GREED.BLO file and all the .mod and .s3m files, in the folder with xGreed.exe (or locate GREED.BLO from the launcher). Optionally, the MOVIES folder from the original CD, with the animation .fli files. Plus Windows.
