Built on the decompilation: Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories
Game: Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories → (GBA, 2004)
ReKHCoM: a PC port of the Game Boy Advance Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, built on Pheenoh’s matching decompilation, which is also in this catalog. The decompiled game runs as a native program with its own renderer, audio, and launcher, on Windows, Linux, and Steam Deck, with alpha builds for Android, Anbernic handhelds, the browser, and PS5. It works with the European, US, and Japanese cartridges, in all their languages. It adds widescreen and ultrawide from 16:10 to 32:9 without stretching, showing more of the world in the field and in battles, HD text, smoothed audio, full-screen movies, and, when starting a new game, a second version, Re:Chain of Memories, with difficulty levels inspired by the PS2 remake, faster dialogue, and one-button dodge and stock. Its latest version includes the 90 official RetroAchievements achievements, no account required. In the browser, your ROM stays on your device. 77 of its last 100 commits list Claude as a co-author.
You needYour own dump of the Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories cartridge, European, US, or Japanese release, which the launcher checks by its SHA-1. There are builds for Windows, Linux, and Steam Deck.
