Pokémon Black
Game: Pokémon Black Version (DS, 2010)
A native PC port of Pokémon Black, built from the aletheia decompilation: it compiles the game’s decompiled C and runs it natively, without emulating the DS, and reads the game data from your own ROM. It has an SDL platform layer, a 2D engine, a 3D engine drawn on the GPU at a higher resolution with fog, edge marking, and anti-aliasing, fast forward, remappable keyboard and gamepad controls, and a mod loader. It plays from the title screen into the opening hours (new game, the first battles, the field menu, saving, and continuing); crashes are expected further on, multiplayer beyond syncing positions is experimental, and Pokémon White is listed as a later milestone. Version 0.1.7 (October 29) provides Windows, macOS, and Linux builds and a launcher that installs and updates the game.
You needYour own copy of Pokémon Black (USA or Europe) for the DS, from which the program reads and extracts the data on first start. Plus Windows, macOS, or Linux.
