X-Men 2: Clone Wars
Game: X-Men 2: Clone Wars (Mega Drive / Genesis, 1995)
A native Windows and Linux port of the Mega Drive version, built from a complete decompilation: 3,164 functions in readable C that, according to the README, byte-match the original compiler, plus 117 functions that were written in 68000 assembly and are tested instruction by instruction. The port no longer emulates the 68000. It reads the graphics, sound, and levels from your ROM every time it starts and refuses any file other than the USA/Europe cartridge. By default it plays exactly like the cartridge; optionally it offers widescreen, high frame rates, two players at 60 fps, and up to four players on one PC or online with rollback netplay. Version 1.2.0 is from October 31. 97 of its last 100 commits list Claude as a co-author.
