BattleTanx
Game: BattleTanx → (N64, 1998)
A native PC port of the Nintendo 64 version, made by static recompilation with N64Recomp on N64ModernRuntime and with RT64 as the renderer. It uses the same engine as the sequel and was built the same way as the same author’s BattleTanx: Global Assault Recompiled. It offers widescreen with the HUD at the screen edges, high frame rates (setting Framerate to Display matches your monitor), Controller Pak saves, and remappable keyboard and gamepad controls, and it runs on Windows and Linux, the Steam Deck included. The README marks it as a beta tested on Windows. Version 0.1.1 (October 17) is the latest. 24 of its 25 commits list Claude as a co-author.
You needYour own copy of BattleTanx (USA) as a .z64 with SHA-1 535860D941738AC1210C20A9B80114FEA0E0FF17 (.n64 and .v64 files work too), which you choose with Load ROM the first time. Plus Windows or x86-64 Linux.
