Daytona USA (springah)

Game: Daytona USA → (Arcade, 1993)

A static recompilation of Daytona USA for Xbox 360 (XBLA, 2011) for native execution on PC, Steam Deck, and macOS, built on the ReXGlue SDK (a Xenia-derived runtime with a PPC-to-C++ recompiler). The game’s D3D9 calls are intercepted and drawn by a native renderer based on plume (D3D12 on Windows, Vulkan on Linux and Steam Deck, and Vulkan over MoltenVK on macOS) instead of emulating the Xenos GPU; according to the README, the whole game, from boot to menus, attract mode, and races, renders this way and was checked screen by screen against the emulated renderer, which is still available as a reference. It declares heavy use of AI in the code, tools, and documentation; all of its last 100 commits list Claude as a co-author. It distributes no game data, but its release bundles (11 to 14 MB) carry the recompiled C++ already compiled, and the program does nothing without the XBLA package you provide. Version 1.1.5 is from October 29.

You needYour own Daytona USA Xbox Live Arcade package for Xbox 360, which the program unpacks into its folder. Windows (PC), Steam Deck, or macOS; the release bundles include a RUN.txt with the steps.
