Demon’s Crest
Game: Demon's Crest (SNES / Super Famicom, 1994)
A native PC recompilation of Demon’s Crest, as a fork of magnopaz’s project, with 19 commits of its own ahead. The release zip contains no game code or data: it holds the setup executable, its DLLs, the GPL shaders, a prebuilt snesrecomp-analyze, and the build tools. On first launch you pick your ROM, it downloads a portable compiler (about 800 MB), and it builds the game on your PC in a few minutes; afterwards you just open the executable. It adds a side-panel options menu, save states with a browser, rewind, widescreen with Alt+W, background input, save import, screen shaders (CRT and others, only on the Vulkan and OpenGL renderers), and a 120 Hz motion mode, all configurable from within the game. Version 1.1.0 is from November 1.
You needYour own Demon’s Crest USA ROM (.sfc or .smc, SHA-256 starting 18d40a80 and ending 5844de). Windows x64, an internet connection on first launch, and about 800 MB for the toolchain.
