Final Fantasy Tactics
Game: Final Fantasy Tactics (PS1, 1997)
FinFanTacRecomp: a PSXRecomp compatibility project for Final Fantasy Tactics (USA, SCUS-94221). Releases are setup kits that don’t include the game: you supply your disc, and the wizard generates and compiles the playable executable on your PC, using OpenBIOS instead of a Sony BIOS. There are kits for Windows, Linux, and macOS; the README says the Linux and macOS releases are initial ones and that gameplay validation is strongest on Windows. It offers an experimental 16:9 3D view and software or OpenGL rendering with 2x supersampling. Local verification covers boot, title and menus, character creation, the church scenes, first-battle movement and attacks, and the command menu; the README states this is not a full-game completion claim. Version 0.1.0 (September 3) is the only release.
You needYour own US disc of Final Fantasy Tactics (SCUS-94221) as a Redump-style CUE/BIN (data track MD5: b156ba386436d20fd5ed8d37bab6b624). Plus Python 3 and a CMake, Ninja, and Clang toolchain, which the wizard can download. x86-64 Windows 10 or 11, x86-64 Linux, or macOS 11 or later.
