Game: Forza Motorsport 3 (Xbox 360, 2009)

A work-in-progress static recompilation of Forza Motorsport 3: Ultimate Collection (Xbox 360) for Windows: the PowerPC code is translated to C++ with the ReXGlue SDK and a runtime provides the console services (graphics, audio, input, profiles, file system, and downloadable content). It only supports the US edition of the Ultimate Collection (title ID 4D53084D, default.xex 0.0.0.8). A launcher of its own, based on the one from the Forza Motorsport 2 recompilation and in English and Spanish, imports both discs (it extracts about 7 GB from the first and the eight car and track packages from the second) and checks the files by SHA-256; it manages local profiles with separate saves, offers windowed or fullscreen mode, 16:9 output at 720p, 1440p, or 4K, 1× to 4× internal resolution, anisotropic filtering, FXAA, and bilinear, AMD CAS, or FSR scaling, Xbox-compatible controllers and remappable keyboard controls, and precompiles shaders. It also installs Project Forza Plus 3, a mod with 18 content packages, and lets you set its career mode, harder AI, and field of view. It renders with Direct3D 12. Menus, videos, Free Play, and races run at 60 fps; the full career mode and local multiplayer still need testing, and Xbox Live isn’t available. Version 0.1.3 (October 17) makes all of Project Forza Plus 3’s cars show up. Two of its 12 commits list Claude as a co-author.

You needYour own US copy of Forza Motorsport 3: Ultimate Collection for Xbox 360, with both discs as disc images (.iso): the Play Disc (disc 1) and the Content Install Disc (disc 2). Other regions, editions, or revisions aren’t supported. Optionally, the Project Forza Plus 3 .zip files. Plus 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, a Direct3D 12 graphics card, and room for about 7 GB of game data.
