Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Game: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Xbox, 2002)
A native Windows port of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (original Xbox, 2002, NTSC-U version), by static recompilation: the game’s x86 code is translated to C and compiled for Windows, with the Xbox kernel, Direct3D 8, DirectSound, and input replaced by native code; it is not an emulator. It adds resolutions up to 4K with MSAA or SMAA and anisotropic filtering, true 16:9 (widened 3D, with 2D and cutscene shots kept in shape), windowed, borderless, or fullscreen modes, 5.1 surround sound, keyboard and mouse with rebinding, controller settings (deadzones, vibration), colour-blind correction filters, and shaders prepared ahead. Version 0.1.0 (October 25) is the only published release. The README says the project was aided by Claude Code.
You needThe files from your own Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets disc for Xbox (NTSC-U), or its .xiso, in a game folder beside the executables; the build regenerates the recompiled code from your default.xbe. 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, a CPU with SSE4.1 and 4 threads, 4 GB of RAM, a DirectX 12 card (feature level 11_0), and about 3 GB free; Windows N editions need the Media Feature Pack.
