Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects
Game: Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects (Xbox, 2005)
An unofficial Windows port of the Xbox version by static recompilation with XboxXBE-Recomp. It’s an alpha distributed as source only: you build the game yourself from your own files. On its author’s PC, a fresh build, campaign gameplay, two-player local Versus, and saving and loading have been tested, without claiming the campaign can be finished. It adds a PC settings menu inside the game itself, resolution and render scale, MSAA and SMAA, anisotropic filtering, ambient occlusion, sharper character shadows, bloom, longer visibility distance, remappable keyboard and controllers, optional cheats, a selector for test scenes left on the disc, and an experimental mods folder for replacing files. It states it was made with help from OpenAI Codex and Anthropic Claude, with testing and approval by its author.
You needThe extracted files from your own copy of Marvel Nemesis for Xbox, with a default.xbe from the exact supported release (SHA-1 66481feb…); other releases won’t work. To build it, 64-bit Windows with Visual Studio, Clang, CMake, Ninja, the Windows SDK, and Git; to play, a Direct3D 12 graphics card.
