Pokémon Rumble
Game: Pokémon Rumble (Wii, 2009)
RumbleRecomp turns your own copy of the 2009 WiiWare game Pokémon Rumble into a native Windows program. The game’s code is translated to C and compiled on your PC, then runs on a trimmed-down Dolphin-based runtime, so it plays at full speed with modern extras such as widescreen, save states, and texture packs. It supports fit-to-window, 16:9, 21:9, and 32:9, an in-game menu, offline achievements of its own, up to four players with controllers, the fan-made expansions Weekend Edition 1.5 and PATCH1 (built from your own copies of their patches), and an optional encounter randomizer. The first time, each version takes 20 to 40 minutes to build. Version 0.8.1 beta is from October 20. The README states that Claude wrote most of the code, and all 11 of its commits list Claude as a co-author.
You needYour own copy of the original USA WiiWare release of Pokémon Rumble (title WPSE01) as a .wad file; for the Weekend Edition you download its patch yourself. 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, a graphics card with Vulkan, and about 4 GB free.
