Roll Away
Game: Roll Away (PS1, 1998)
A native Windows version of Roll Away (Psygnosis, 1998), known in Europe as Kula World and in Japan as KulaQuest; all three releases are supported. The repository’s recompiler translates the game’s MIPS code to C, and a runtime of its own rewrites Sony’s libraries (graphics, the CD-ROM with XA music and movie streaming, controllers, the memory card, and the BIOS) and runs the graphics, geometry, sound, and movie chips in software; it is not an emulator and no BIOS is needed. It adds detailed distant textures, FXAA, internal resolution up to 8x, precise vertices, true color, optional 16:9, a soft-TV filter, saving after every level, Kula World at 60 Hz, and a level editor with support for your own levels. Version 2.5.0 (October 29) is the latest release. All 46 of its commits list Claude as a co-author.
You needYour own disc image of Roll Away (USA, SLUS-00724), Kula World (Europe, SCES-01000), or KulaQuest (Japan, SCPS-10064), as .bin/.cue or .chd; an .iso does not work. Plus Windows 10 or later.
