007: The World Is Not Enough
Game: 007: The World Is Not Enough (N64, 2001)
I Could Have Given You the World: a native Windows and Linux (Steam Deck too) port of the US N64 release, recompiled with N64Recomp and with RT64 as its renderer. It ships no translated game code: on first launch it compiles the game on your machine from your ROM and reuses the result afterward, with no development tools or internet connection needed. It adds widescreen and ultrawide, a 40–100° vertical field of view, interpolation for high refresh rate displays, mouse or twin-stick aiming, radial menus for weapons and gadgets, quick save and load, on-screen objectives, sharper fonts, and enhanced textures generated on your machine. It also rebalances the game: bigger magazines, double pistol and SMG ammo, faster reloads on two weapons, double damage for the speargun and watch laser, and defusing a bomb takes a quarter of the time. Other changes are optional, such as a Nightfire-style grapple, regenerating health, civilians with double health, and invincible allies, and there are cheats. Its author made it for their own playthrough and shares it as a hobby project. Version 0.1.96 came out on October 17.
You needYour own US revision 0 ROM of 007: The World Is Not Enough for N64, placed next to the executable or picked on first launch. There’s a single portable EXE for Windows and an AppImage for Linux and Steam Deck.
