Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue
Game: Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue (N64, 1999)
SpaceRanger: a native Windows port of the Nintendo 64 version of Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue, made by static recompilation with N64: Recompiled and rendered with RT64; it is not an emulator and cannot run any other ROM. According to the README, the game is playable from start to finish, though this is a pre-release with known issues (a thin dark band around Buzz’s waist, particles and projectiles that are not interpolated yet, sound effects that sometimes go away). It adds widescreen, a high frame rate through RT64 interpolation, full draw distance, and menus for graphics, controls, and sound. The ROM is loaded from within the game; there is no extraction step. Version 0.1.0 is from October 12. The README says it was built with heavy help from Claude and ChatGPT/Codex, and 6 of its 10 commits list Claude as a co-author.
