Conker's Bad Fur Day
3 recomps and 1 decompilation
Conker's Bad Fur Day (sciaschi)
sciaschi/CBFD-Recompiled
Native port of the US version, statically recompiled with N64Recomp starting from the game’s decompilation. Ready-to-play builds are available for Windows, Linux, and Apple Silicon macOS: unpack it, run it, and pick your ROM in the launcher the first time. The package contains nothing from the game; everything is extracted from your ROM, on your machine, during the build.
You needYour own Conker's Bad Fur Day ROM (N64, US version).
Conker's Bad Fur Day
mkst/conker
Decompilation of the US version, and the base that the Conker recomp, also in the catalog, is built on. It builds in Docker with your own ROM placed at the repository root. The repository has been archived on GitHub since May 2026: the progress is preserved and still usable, but it’s no longer moving.
Conker's Bad Fur Day (Reloaded)
DahSidiAbdallah/ConkerBFDReloaded
Conker’s Bad Fur Day: Reloaded: a native Windows and Linux port of the US release, statically recompiled with N64Recomp from the mkst/conker decompilation, with RT64 as its renderer. It builds on CBFD-Recompiled, sciaschi’s recomp also in the catalog, taking its mouse and gyro aiming, rumble, and several fixes, and adds a lot of its own. One switch picks between Classic mode, true to the N64 (4:3, 30 fps, the original camera and controls, only at a higher resolution), and Modern mode: widescreen with no black bars in menus and cutscenes too, your display’s refresh rate with the logic at 30 fps, a free camera on the mouse or right stick that doesn’t clip through walls, twin-stick aiming, a crosshair, and other options such as skipping any cutscene by holding L, grabbing ledges, or an underwater air meter. It accepts ROM hacks that keep the game’s code, such as the uncensored version and the French, German, and Russian translations, and loads RT64 texture packs and N64Recomp mods. It also publishes, as an optional download, an HD icons pack based on GameBeast92’s 4K Ultimate Texture Pack. The Linux build is experimental and there’s no macOS build. Version 1.4.1 came out on October 17.
You needYour own US Conker’s Bad Fur Day ROM (SHA-1 4cbadd3c4e0729dec46af64ad018050eada4f47a, as a .z64). Plus 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 with a DirectX 12 or Vulkan graphics card, or 64-bit Linux with glibc 2.35 or later, a Vulkan driver, and SDL2, GTK 3, and FreeType.
Conker's Bad Fur Day (Conker64Recomp)
Conker64Recomp/conker64-recompiled
A work in progress that its own README states is not yet a finished static recompilation and does not play the game. It is a reverse-engineering toolkit and a 3D engine in C++20 on SDL2, written from scratch, that loads a cartridge dump, decrypts and decompresses Rare’s RZIP archives (recovering 507 of 508 MIPS code subsegments into an emulated 8 MB RDRAM), indexes and plays back 453 MP3 audio streams, decodes the N64 texture formats, and draws an explorable 3D scene with its own software rasteriser and a procedural character. The recovered code is not executed yet: N64Recomp integration (configuration files exist, but the generated-code directory is empty), RT64 integration, game logic, enemies, levels, and the HUD are still to do. The only release, 0.1.0-beta (August 27), weighs about 0.9 MB.
You needYour own 64 MB Conker's Bad Fur Day ROM dump (.z64, .v64, or .n64; it is normalized to big-endian and the header is validated). x64 Windows.
