Fatal Frame
1 port and 1 decompilation
Fatal Frame
Mikompilation/Himuro
Himuro, a matching decompilation of Fatal Frame (Project Zero) for PS2, with the stated intent of porting the game to modern hardware once it fully matches. It covers three regions: US (SLUS_203.88), Europe (SLES_508.21), and Japan (SLPS_250.74).
Fatal Frame
Mikompilation/MikuPan
MikuPan: a native PC port of the PS2 game Fatal Frame (Project Zero), built on Himuro, the same group’s decompilation; it isn’t an emulator. It runs on the data from the US or the European release, each with its own build. It renders through SDL3’s SDL_GPU and has a new RmlUi interface, translated into German, Spanish, French, and Italian, with options for resolution, MSAA, HDR, a CRT filter, a third-person camera, and mouse-driven menus. It runs on Windows and Linux, on macOS without official support, and can be built for Android. Its README calls it “still very early work.” There are only nightly builds, for the US release; the latest is from October 18. At least one of its commits lists Claude as a co-author.
You needThe IMG_HD.BIN and IMG_BD.BIN files from your own Fatal Frame PS2 ISO, US (SLUS_203.88) or European (SLES_508.21), next to the executable; the Japanese release doesn’t work. The nightlies are for the US release; the European one needs a build with an “-eu” preset. Windows, Linux, or macOS.
