Final Fantasy VII

mstan/Final-Fantasy-VII

A static recompilation of Final Fantasy VII (US version, with its three discs) with psxrecomp and recomp-ui, in a fork of TechnicallyComputers/Final-Fantasy-VII with 5 commits of its own that its author proposes to the original repository. The repository includes C code generated from the game’s executable (the generated folder) and names for about 1,100 functions, imported from Xeeynamo’s ff7-decomp symbol map (addresses only; its code isn’t used). Version 0.1.8 (October 31) is a Windows zip of about 25 MB that we haven’t checked inside; it defaults to 4x internal resolution (1x to 32x in the mods menu), switches discs automatically when the game asks if all three are configured, and keeps the original digital controls and the still-experimental widescreen. It uses OpenBIOS. The README doesn’t say how far the game has been played. 12 of its 52 commits list Claude as a co-author.

You needYour own images of the three US discs (SCUS-94163, SCUS-94164, and SCUS-94165), as .cue and .bin pairs chosen in the launcher or placed in the disc folder; automatic disc switching needs all three configured. No console BIOS is needed, since it uses OpenBIOS. 64-bit Windows.
