Jet Force Gemini (TK22-26)
TK22-26/JetForceGemini-Recomp
A native recompilation for 64-bit Windows. Version 1 is complete: the campaign plays from start to finish, along with the original local multiplayer and optional content. It comes prebuilt: you import your ROM once in the launcher and click Play. It adds modern controls, still experimental, with mouse and keyboard or dual sticks and a visual controls editor, plus high-refresh rendering with interpolation, adjustable motion blur, and adjustable fog. It also has a live map and inventory as companion tools. Version 1.3.0 came out on October 19. It states it was written with the help of AI (Codex), with human direction, review, and playtesting.
You needYour own US Jet Force Gemini ROM in .z64 (big-endian) format, and 64-bit Windows.
Jet Force Gemini (VibinToast)
VibinToast/JetForceGemini-Recomp
“Jet Force Gemini: Recompiled,” a static recompilation of the US release for Windows and Linux, built with N64Recomp, N64ModernRuntime, and RT64 on top of cyscott’s Diddy Kong Racing recomp. Its author calls it 100% playable and says only quality-of-life work is left. It adds mouse and keyboard, dual-stick controls with camera-relative movement, over-the-shoulder aiming, 60 fps, widescreen, ambient occlusion and bloom, longer draw distance, cutscene skipping, a weapons editor, a no-blood option, cheats (including skipping the Tribal requirement), and a toolbar to warp to any level and edit items. It supports HD texture packs; its own is a separate download. There’s a prebuilt portable Windows version; on Linux you build it. It states it was built with heavy help from AI (Claude), directed by its author and without an independent code review.
You needYour own US Jet Force Gemini ROM in .z64 format. Plus Windows 10 or 11 with a Direct3D 12 graphics card, or Linux with Vulkan (where you have to build it).
Jet Force Gemini (riseio)
riseio/Jet-Force-Capricorn
“Children and Dog go Pew Pew” (CadgPP, formerly Jet Force Capricorn): a static recompilation for Windows, Linux, and Steam Deck built with N64Recomp, N64ModernRuntime, RecompFrontend, and RT64. It’s an early release for feedback: its author warns that they never played the original and that there may be bugs. It adds widescreen and ultrawide with repositioned menus and HUD, higher resolutions, anti-aliasing, interpolated rendering for high-refresh displays, mouse aiming and twin-stick controls, adjustable field of view and camera distance, save states, more save points, and a long list of quality-of-life options that can be turned off: collectible counters, cutscene skipping, quick character switching, upgraded weapons, boss-fight aids, and a lower final Tribal requirement. The enhanced textures and clean fonts are generated on your machine from your own ROM.
You needYour own Jet Force Gemini ROM, revision 0. There are builds for Windows and for Linux and Steam Deck.
Jet Force Gemini (ravenx444)
ravenx444/RGO-Recomp
Rocket Group Orion (RGO): a fork of TK22-26’s Jet Force Gemini recomp that adds modern improvements on top of that faithful port. It adds unstretched widescreen with the HUD anchored to the screen edges, a mode with the game logic at true 60 fps and another with interpolation, any resolution and aspect ratio, MSAA, direct mouse aiming, twin-stick controls, PlayStation controllers with rumble and gyro aiming, mouse and controller at the same time, persistent gore, and a configurable weapon wheel; every feature is optional. It’s an early testing preview for Windows, not a stable release: the launcher installs the tools, downloads the source, and builds the game on your PC from your ROM, and the first time can take an hour or more. Some scenes still drop to 30 fps, and loading failures may remain. It states it’s developed with AI assistance, directed and tested by its author.
You needYour own North American Jet Force Gemini ROM, as a 32 MiB big-endian .z64. Plus 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 and room for the build tools the launcher installs.
