danielgomesvieira2000/soulcalibur-recomp
An unofficial native port of Soulcalibur for the Dreamcast (US version, T1401N V1.000), built with dreamcomp: the game’s SH-4 code is statically recompiled to C++ and the console’s graphics, sound, and disc run as native code around it. The repository holds no game code or data; the port reads your disc image at run time and refuses any release other than the one it was built from. For now it runs on Windows, with internal resolution up to 4x, fitting the picture to the window, a per-user virtual memory card, rebindable keyboard and gamepad controls, and an anamorphic 16:9 widescreen that the README itself calls experimental: it currently crashes in fights and is off by default. There are no published releases. All 20 of its commits list Claude as a co-author, and the README states it was developed with Claude Code.
You needYour own disc image of Soulcalibur for the Dreamcast, US (T1401N V1.000, boot file SHA-1 967ca1fe…c6c9), as .cue and .bin, .gdi, or .chd. It is built from a dreamcomp checkout with its tool (Python and the compilers its README asks for); Windows for now.

Voldorium is an unofficial native Windows and Linux port of Soulcalibur for the Dreamcast (US version, T-1401N V1.000), made by static recompilation: the game’s SH-4 code is translated into C with the project’s own translator and compiled together with a native runtime that stands in for the console’s hardware. It adds 16:9 widescreen (the 3D scene widens; the HUD, menus, and text keep their proportions), any resolution, multisample anti-aliasing, a virtual memory card, an in-game graphics menu, optional 16:9 artwork, and online versus in the main menu, with a worldwide lobby, matchmaking, NAT hole punching with a relay, and GGPO rollback netcode that joins Windows and Linux players. Voldorium.exe contains no game code: on first start it builds a module (sc_game.dll) on your PC with the translated code from your disc, and that module isn’t published because it derives from the game. Version 1.1.3, from October 31, is the latest. All 43 of its commits list Claude as a co-author, and the README names it among the project’s tools.
You needYour own dump of Soulcalibur for the Dreamcast, US (T-1401N V1.000), as a .gdi with its tracks; only that version works. Windows 10 or 11, or x86-64 Linux with glibc 2.28 or later, SDL2, and OpenGL, about 1 GB free, and an internet connection on first start, which downloads the Zig compiler and two Flycast files to build the module.

Questions
Can you play Soulcalibur natively on PC?
Yes, though unfinished. The catalog has 2 recomps, and one of them is already playable.
What do I need to play it?
Your own copy of Soulcalibur (Dreamcast). Recompendium only links projects that don’t distribute the game, and each entry says which version or region you need.
