Atlantis: The Lost Tales
Games: Atlantis: The Lost Tales (Windows, 1997) · Atlantis II (Windows, 1999)
A native port of Atlantis: The Lost Tales (Cryo Interactive, 1997) and its sequel Atlantis II (1999), written in Rust, for Windows (x64 and ARM), macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel), Linux, and the browser. The engine is a translation of ScummVM’s CryOmni3D engine, itself rebuilt by reverse engineering the original executable; the README says it reproduces the original game “pixel for pixel and sample for sample”, with optional fixes for the original’s bugs, an optional HD mode, widescreen, and saves in the original format. According to the README, both games can be played from the first screen to the last. Version 0.5.8 (October 29) is the latest release. The README states that it was written for the most part by an AI (Claude, through Claude Code), directed and reviewed by its maintainer; 100 of its last 100 commits list Claude as a co-author.
