Until Dawn

Game: Until Dawn (PS4, 2015)

A native recompilation of the original PS4 version of Until Dawn (2015) for Windows, running its original x86-64 code on a PS4 compatibility layer with a custom Vulkan renderer, with no console emulation. According to the README, a full playthrough, from the prologue to the end credits, was completed on the development PC with WIP 0.1.3; later versions have only been tested in shorter sessions, and the project remains a work in progress with graphical glitches, crashes, shader-compilation pauses, and frame-rate drops. Version 0.2.1 prepares shaders before starting. It supports DualSense, DualShock 4, and Xbox controllers, keyboard and mouse, the bonus chapter “The Road Not Taken,” and movie skipping. The repository publishes the full source (the compatibility layer, the renderer, the GCN to SPIR-V shader translator, and the tools) with no game code or data. Version 0.2.1 is from October 30. 1 of its 32 commits lists Claude as a co-author.

You needYour own decrypted dump of Until Dawn for PS4 (CUSA02636) with update 01.03 applied. 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, an x86-64 CPU with AVX (in practice 4th-generation Intel Core or Ryzen and newer), a Vulkan 1.3 GPU driver, about 50 GB of disk, and 16 GB of memory recommended; the README says no minimum specifications are verified yet.
