2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil
Game: 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil (Xbox 360, 2014)
A static recompilation of the Xbox 360 version for Windows, built with ReXGlue: the game’s code is translated ahead of time into C++ and compiled for PC, with no CPU emulation. A launcher asks for your copy of the game, either the folder with default.xex or the .iso image, and checks that it is the right one. Its settings cover window, resolution, frame rate, and an FPS counter, and you play with a controller (Xbox, PlayStation, and others) or the keyboard. It comes as an installer or as a portable version that keeps everything, saves included, in its own folder, and the launcher announces new versions and installs them. The latest, 0.1.8 (October 22), improved frame pacing with G-SYNC and FreeSync, fixed stutter on 60 Hz screens, and cut CPU load considerably. As a known issue, at 4K the pre-match scenes, replays, and celebrations drop frames. 10 of its 60 commits list Claude as a co-author.
You needYour own copy of 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil for Xbox 360, as a disc image (.iso) or a folder with default.xex. Plus 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, a graphics card with Direct3D 12 and up-to-date drivers (the game is harder on the graphics card than on the processor: integrated graphics run it poorly and 1440p or 4K needs a strong card), and a processor with SSE4.2.
