Alien Resurrection (Heromachine)
Game: Alien Resurrection → (PS1, 2000)
A native Linux port of the US PlayStation release (SLUS-00633), separate from DiegoDeDios’s: a launcher statically recompiles the game’s code to C# with a fork of RecompOne kept in a separate repository. The released builds contain no game code or data: on first run it reads your disc image, generates the code on your machine, and compiles it, and later runs reuse the result; the disc is still needed to play. It has a front screen you can use with mouse, keyboard, or controller, and a Mods page with god mode and infinite ammo (which switch on the game’s own cheat system) and flashlight settings: brightness, color, reach, flicker, and a bigger or unlimited battery. It accepts memory cards from DuckStation, ePSXe, or PCSX. It’s an early release: one airlock door may not open and leave you stuck, the main menu logo is often garbled, the screen can go black after loading a save, the intro video crashes on some machines, the attract demo and menu background run too fast, and enabling native resolution hangs the game at boot. Version 0.3.0 (October 1) fixed the loading-screen hang. Seven of its 20 commits list Claude as co-author.
You needYour own US Alien Resurrection disc image (SLUS-00633), as a .cue with its .bin; the launcher refuses any other. A BIOS is optional. Plus x86-64 Linux; the AppImage needs FUSE (libfuse2), or you can use the .zip.
