Donkey Kong (Game Boy)
Game: Donkey Kong (Game Boy, 1994)
An unofficial static recompilation of the Game Boy Donkey Kong (1994) for Linux and Windows. The ROM’s SM83 code is translated to C and runs natively on a small runtime (PPU, APU, timer, MBC1, and Super Game Boy) on SDL2. The release build carries no game code: when you press PLAY it recompiles your ROM to C and compiles it in memory with TinyCC in about 0.3 seconds, writing nothing derived from the game to disk; the developer build, by contrast, links in the generated code and must not be shared. It adds Super Game Boy palettes, border, and sound (using its optional BIOS), widescreen, a launcher, cheats, and mod packs for textures, borders, and audio. Version 1.3.0 is from October 27. All 8 of its commits list Claude as a co-author.
You needYour own ROM of “Donkey Kong (World) (Rev 1) (SGB Enhanced).gb” (SHA-1 397ad2ff25627b83e02c71b54c72bb4deb39e0c0). Optionally the Super Game Boy BIOS for the SNES-side sound. Windows x64 or Linux x86-64.
