Hellnight
Game: Hellnight (PS1, 1998)
A native PC version of Hellnight (PlayStation, 1999; Dark Messiah in Japan), made with the PSXRecomp static recompiler and the recomp-ui launcher, with the bundled OpenBIOS image instead of a Sony BIOS. Version 0.1.7 (October 26) has packages for Windows x64, Linux x64, and macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel). It is an early release tested on Windows: with the NTSC-converted dump it reaches the title, New Game starts, dialogue, the examine cursor, and room transitions work, and saving to and loading from a memory card works; with the Redump dump and the Undub patch it was only tested up to the intro. An optional mod widens the 3D view to 16:9 or 21:9, and there are optional cheats. The README states it was made with AI assistance (Claude), and all 17 of its commits list Claude as a co-author.
You needYour own European Hellnight disc (SLES-01562) as CUE/BIN, with a data track of 633,786,384 bytes: the Redump dump (MD5 050d2848368af2ef945706bc73ef69ef), an NTSC-converted copy (MD5 01ce6367485ab848973be612df58b5b9, which most testing used), or the Undub v1.1 patch of the European disc (MD5 cb6f8e5a863920bf33d8cfe78dd684df). Windows, Linux, or macOS.
