Killzone
Game: Killzone (PS2, 2004)
KillzoneRecomp: a native Windows port of Killzone (PlayStation 2), made by static recompilation. The game’s PS2 code is translated to C++ with PS2Recomp, and PCSX2’s hardware renderer, microVU, IPU, and SPU2 are linked in as libraries. It adds fully rebindable mouse and keyboard (aiming is an engine patch), SDL3 controllers with the PS2 layout, frame rate matching the monitor (about 117-120 fps at 120 Hz), internal resolution up to 8x, native 16:9 plus 21:9 and 32:9 ultrawide, on Direct3D 11, 12, or Vulkan. It’s an alpha: boot, menus, profile creation, and the first level have been verified in automated runs, but longer playthroughs are still to come. The latest, 0.1.3-alpha (October 22, 2026), is a pre-release. Killzone Online isn’t included. 60 of its last 100 commits list Claude as a co-author. Licensed GPL-3.0.
