Mario Party 3
Game: Mario Party 3 (N64, 2000)
A native PC port of the N64 version (USA), made by static recompilation with N64Recomp, N64ModernRuntime, and RT64, with RecompFrontend’s launcher and menus: the game’s MIPS code is translated to C and run natively. Symbols come from the mariopartyrd decompilation. The menus, the six boards, and the minigames work, on the desktop and in a browser (the web page is built from your ROM), with the boards interpolated to the display’s rate and drawn at the window’s size and shape. The game’s process scheduler, which switches between dozens of small processes with its own setjmp and longjmp, runs each process on a thread of its own. The repository holds no ROM and no game assets, apart from symbol names and addresses. Version 0.2.6 is from November 1. It states that almost all of the code was written by AI (Claude), directed and play-tested by a person; 55 of its last 100 commits list Claude as a co-author.
