NBA Hangtime
Game: NBA Hangtime (N64, 1996)
An unofficial native port for Windows, Linux, and Steam Deck of the N64 version, made by static recompilation: the game’s code is translated from your ROM and compiled on your PC the first time you start it, in a minute or two. The README says it is playable from start to finish, with menus, four quarters, halftime, stats, and final results, and that it was tested on a Steam Deck. It offers up to four players on gamepads and keyboard, saves through the game’s own Controller Pak code, 17 of the original cheats plus Always On Fire from the launcher, 60 fps, true 16:9 widescreen, resolution, anti-aliasing, and filtering options, rebindable controls, and built-in updates. It includes no game code or assets; the release packages (about 93 MB on Windows) hold the program and the tools to build it. Version 0.1.1 is from October 20.
