PaRappa the Rapper (mstan)
Game: PaRappa the Rapper → (PS1, 1996)
A static recompilation of PaRappa the Rapper (US version, SCUS-94183) with psxrecomp, in a fork of kirby1237/PaRappaTheRapperRecomp with 6 commits of its own. It adds an optional mod, “Rhythm Timing Assist”, off by default: it compensates for latency and widens the early and late timing windows separately, up to 60 ms each side, without touching the music or the scoring rules. Internal resolution defaults to 4x (1x to 32x in Mods) and the experimental widescreen to 21:9 (with 16:9, fit to window, or 4:3); movies and 2D menus keep their proportions. The controller is locked to digital mode. The repository includes the game’s generated C code (the generated folder) and, according to its README, the releases ship the game already compiled from it; version 0.1.3 (October 31) is a Windows zip of about 27 MB. The README adds that the other stages still need player validation.
You needYour own PaRappa the Rapper disc image (PS1, US version, SCUS-94183) as .cue and .bin, the same one the original repository supports (the README says its MD5 matches). A console BIOS isn’t needed: it uses OpenBIOS. 64-bit Windows or Linux.
