PaRappa the Rapper (kirby1237)

Game: PaRappa the Rapper → (PS1, 1996)

A static recompilation of the US release of PaRappa the Rapper (PlayStation, 1996) for PC, made with psxrecomp and the recomp-ui launcher; it uses the bundled OpenBIOS image. It includes an optional Rhythm Timing Assist mod, with configurable latency compensation and early and late tolerance for controller and keyboard play, and an experimental widescreen mod enabled by default at 21:9 (also 16:9, fit to window, or 4:3) that widens the game’s 3D view; movies and 2D menus keep their proportions. The default internal resolution is 1080p. The README says the other stages still need player validation. v0.1.1 (October 8) has zips for Windows x64 and Linux x64. The repository includes the C code generated from the game’s executable (about 25 MB, generated folder), and the published release ships that code already compiled; the game’s data comes from your disc.

You needYour own disc of the US version of PaRappa the Rapper (SCUS-94183) as a .cue/.bin image, placed in the disc folder. Windows x64 or Linux x64.
