Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker

Game: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker (3DS, 2015)

An unofficial Windows and Linux port, called Canopus Protocol, of the 3DS version, made by static recompilation: the game’s ARM code is translated to C on your machine and built together with a runtime that does what the 3DS did (kernel, system services, a software PICA200 renderer, DSP audio, window, and input). The repository contains no game data or code, and everything generated from your dump stays on your machine. The release package ships a launcher that extracts the dump, recompiles, and compiles with a bundled Zig (about 73 to 80 MB), so no compiler needs to be installed. According to the README, the game boots, plays the opening movie with sound, gets through New Game, the prologue, and registration, loads saves, and runs versions 1.0 and 1.1 with the DLC. Gaps remain: the 3D is drawn on the CPU, without per-fragment lighting, and some bottom-screen text draws garbled. Version 2.0.1 is from October 30.

You needA decrypted dump of your North American copy (.3ds, .cci, .cia, or .cxi), made with GodMode9 on your console; optionally the 1.1 update and the DLC as decrypted .cia files. About 3 GB free. 64-bit Windows or Linux; to build from source, Go 1.21 or later, make, and a C/C++ compiler (or Zig).
