Sonic and the Black Knight
Game: Sonic and the Black Knight → (Wii, 2009)
A static recompilation of Sonic and the Black Knight (Wii) to a native Windows x64 executable, in the spirit of UnleashedRecomp, with the goal of playing with a normal controller instead of the Wii’s motion controls. One executable holds the recompiled code of the USA, European, and Japanese releases, and the installed disc picks which one runs. The recompiler (tools/) decodes the Gekko/Broadway instructions and emits one C++ function per game function, and the game’s own operating system (Revolution OS) runs recompiled, with the hardware, IOS, and audio modeled on Dolphin’s behavior. The README says the game is playable from boot to gameplay, with graphics, audio, saves, and controller input working. There is no native Linux build; on the Steam Deck it works through Proton. The latest release, 1.0.1, is from October 23.
You needYour own disc image (ISO, RVZ, WIA, or WBFS) of Sonic and the Black Knight for Wii: USA (RENE8P), Europe (RENP8P), or Japan (RENJ8P). 64-bit Windows 10 or later.
