Splinter Cell: Double Agent
Game: Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent (Xbox, 2006)
A native 64-bit Windows port of the Xbox version, built with XboxXBE-Recomp, the same author’s tool, which was first made for this game. On first launch it compiles the game’s code for your machine. It replaces the original 640×480 with your monitor’s resolution and adds a 20–200% render scale, a 45–140° field of view, frame rates beyond the 30 fps cap, HDR, up to 8x MSAA and SMAA, shadows up to 8192×8192 that reach farther, ambient occlusion, and a Shader Model 3 mode with the effects of Chaos Theory’s PC version. Co-op plays online by connecting to an IP address, over LAN, or in split screen, with a higher update rate and less delay than the original, and Versus also works online. It has keyboard and mouse with raw input and SDL3 controller support. V2 came out on October 18.
You needYour own copy of Splinter Cell: Double Agent for Xbox, as an ISO or extracted; building it requires the extracted files (default.xbe, sc4_adv.xbe, and the Default, Media, and adv folders). Plus 64-bit Windows 10, a CPU with SSE4.2, a Direct3D 12 graphics card, and about 6 GB of free space.
