Strike Gunner S.T.G
Game: Strike Gunner S.T.G (SNES / Super Famicom, 1991)
A native recompilation of the vertical shoot-’em-up Strike Gunner S.T.G (USA) built on snesrecomp: the 65816 code is compiled to C and runs against an emulated SNES video chip, sound chip, and DMA, with the framework’s interpreter for code the analysis hasn’t reached. According to the README it can be played from start to finish (intro, attract demo, all eight stages, and the ending through the credits) in single-player on Windows; two-player mode starts and each ship answers its own controller, but a full two-player playthrough hasn’t been done. It includes save states and rewind, and a page of optional mods, all off by default: stage select, one-hit kills, infinite special weapon, infinite lives, all weapons every stage, and custom music. The latest release, 0.3.0 (October 20), is for Windows. 40 of its 41 commits list Claude as a co-author.
