Super Mario 64 DS (mstan)
Game: Super Mario 64 DS → (DS, 2004)
An early static recompilation of Super Mario 64 DS (European version) with ndsrecomp: it compiles the ARM9 and ARM7 code and boots through the real BIOS, firmware, and cartridge path. It takes function names, sizes, and boundaries from tangosdev’s decompilation, without compiling its C. It’s a preview: it reaches controllable castle-grounds gameplay, but it runs slowly in areas that fall back to the interpreter, parts are untested, and in widescreen some camera angles show black voids or stretched sky. The top screen can be widened to 21:9, with the touchscreen in its own window. 0.0.3 (August 15) is for Windows and runs without the DS BIOS or firmware, using FreeBIOS instead; on Linux you build it yourself. 8 of its last 100 commits list Claude as a co-author.
You needYour own European Super Mario 64 DS ROM, revision 0 (ASMP, SHA-1 1367529f2cb23e76ef295cb1727333ae8f0a6cd7). The DS BIOS and firmware are optional on Windows. 64-bit Windows; on Linux you build it yourself and supply your own BIOS and firmware dumps.
