The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Game: The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass → (DS, 2007)

A native port for Windows and Android made by static recompilation: the ARM9 code (the main program and its 62 overlays, 24,621 functions) is translated to C and compiled for your machine, and the rest of the console (ARM7, graphics, and sound) comes from the melonDS core. It offers several screen layouts, three renderers (exact-resolution software, GPU with OpenGL, and Compute) with 2× to 8× upscaling on PC and up to 4× on Android, 16:9 and 21:9 widescreen with the HUD following the wide view, touch and gamepad controls, a microphone with a recorded blow sample, 12 save-state slots, and on-screen controls on Android. The README says it plays on PC and on a Pixel 8 (59.9 fps with Compute at 2×) and that it was play tested up to the Fire Temple. It has no releases: it is built from the repository with your ROM, and the README asks you not to share the builds because they contain the game. 35 of its 46 commits list Claude as a co-author.
