Twisted Metal 1–4
Games: Twisted Metal (PS1, 1995) · Twisted Metal 2 (PS1, 1996) · Twisted Metal III (PS1, 1998) · Twisted Metal 4 → (PS1, 1999)
Static recompilations of the four PlayStation Twisted Metal games (Twisted Metal, Twisted Metal 2, Twisted Metal III, and Twisted Metal 4, US releases) as native Windows programs, built with psxrecomp and recomp-ui and gathered in one launcher. It adds 16:9 or 21:9 widescreen (in III and 4 it also draws the terrain the game left out of the 4:3 view), 30 and 60 fps modes in the first two, with handling and weapons adjusted to behave as they did at the original 20, Smooth Motion in the fourth, and display, audio, and control settings shared by all four. The downloads include the built programs, with each game’s code machine-translated, plus the free OpenBIOS, but no disc data; the recompiled code can also be generated on your own machine. Version 1.0.0 came out on October 13. One of its 2 commits lists Claude as a co-author.
You needYour own disc image (.chd, or .cue with its .bin) of each game you want to play, in the listed US version: Twisted Metal (SCUS-94304), Twisted Metal 2 (SCUS-94306), Twisted Metal III (SCUS-94249, Rev 1), and Twisted Metal 4 (SCUS-94560, Rev 1). Plus Windows.
