Virtual Pro Wrestling 2

Game: Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 → (N64, 2000)

A static recompilation of Virtual Pro Wrestling 2: Ōdō Keishō, the Japan-only sequel to Virtual Pro Wrestling 64, for Windows, with N64Recomp, N64ModernRuntime, and RT64. It’s the sixth and last in the same author’s family of AKI wrestling games. It’s in beta: it boots, plays through menus and full matches with music and sound, with two controllers verified, and saves the cartridge save automatically. It’s independent of the AKI-Club decompilation: the symbols come from the author’s own disassembly. The game is in Japanese, as released, though several English fan translations run as mods on top of your ROM. It adds widescreen, high resolution, controls tailored to the AKI scheme, and, experimentally, 60 and 120 fps through interpolation, ray tracing, a CRT filter, and HDR, plus a mods menu with a free camera and cheats. 10 of its 91 commits link a Claude Code session.

You needYour own unpatched Japanese ROM of Virtual Pro Wrestling 2: Ōdō Keishō (NA2J). Plus Windows with a Direct3D 12 (Shader Model 6) or Vulkan 1.2 graphics card and a CPU with SSE4.1.
