Crash of the Titans (CrashRecomp)
VitoMiguelF/crashott-pc
CrashRecomp: a Definitive Edition of Crash of the Titans for Windows, made by statically recompiling the Xbox 360 version’s PowerPC code to x86-64 with XenonRecomp, plus a runtime that replaces the console’s graphics, audio, input, files, and saves. It plays at the original 30 fps or unlimited, windowed or fullscreen, with internal resolutions up to 4K, DLSS and DLAA (RTX) or FSR 3.1, FXAA and SMAA, rebindable keyboard and mouse, and Xbox and PlayStation (DualSense) controllers. It adds a Brazilian Portuguese translation and subtitles for all dialogue and cutscenes. Version 1.04 (October 24) draws the scene in one pass instead of the console’s three tiles, runs the game’s Direct3D command building as native code, and compiles shaders at install: in the heaviest scene it went from about 180 to about 500 fps on a Ryzen 7 5700X with an RTX 5080. Version 1.0 (October 22) also offered, as an option, an “HD AI Remaster” pack of about 3.3 GB with AI-upscaled textures and smoothed models. The installer builds everything on your PC from your copy, installing nothing on the system. All 31 commits in the repository list Claude as a co-author.
You needYour own copy of Crash of the Titans for Xbox 360, as the game folder (default.xex, default.rcf…). Plus 64-bit Windows; version 1.03 and later bundle their own build tools. DLSS needs an NVIDIA RTX card; FSR works on any GPU.
Crash of the Titans (MojoRecomp)
OAleex/MojoRecomp
MojoRecomp: a native Windows port of the Xbox 360 version, by static recompilation with XenonRecomp and its own runtime with a Vulkan renderer; it isn’t an emulator. A launcher installs and updates the runtime only when you ask it to, keeps earlier versions to roll back to, and sets the game up from your ISO, which is only read during setup. By default it stays close to the original, windowed at 720p, 16:9, and 30 fps with FXAA and 8x texture filtering, and it offers other resolutions and aspect ratios and a still-experimental mode above 30 fps. It supports two local players, on controllers or keyboard, the disc’s six languages, and, as an optional download, the author’s Brazilian Portuguese translation, applied as patches over your copy’s files. A debug mode has shortcuts to unlock moves and episodes. The same project is preparing Crash: Mind over Mutant, which isn’t playable yet. Launcher 1.1.0, with runtime 0.2.0-alpha (October 6), fixed black screens, shadows, and textures. Its author states that AI tools were used for research, repetitive implementation work, debugging, and documentation drafts, with human review.
You needAn ISO of your own Crash of the Titans copy for Xbox 360; the launcher checks its default.xex. Plus 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, a Vulkan 1.3 graphics card, and the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime. A controller is recommended, but the keyboard works.
